You need practical leadership skills, not theory.

You could be new to management or more experienced, but it’s unlikely you’ve had robust training or coaching on developing your leadership skills.

Most likely you were thrown in at the deep end and expected to work it out as you went along.

How to have difficult conversation, how to provide effective feedback, how to manage underperformance, how to create other leaders.

All topics that are a challenge and that most people need clear guidance on.

You’re probably hoping that issues don’t arise so that you can avoid dealing with it, because, again, no one has shown you how to deal with it.

Vincent Sanderson About
Speaking Engagement

That’s the experience of most of the leaders and managers I work with in coaching and training.

In fact, it was my experience too. I guessed my way through most of my early interactions and challenging conversations and took a hands off approach hoping that my team would work most issues out themselves.

Of course, I told myself that I was avoiding micromanaging, when in fact I was an absentee manager because I didn't know how lead a team balancing high standards whilst meeting their needs.

No one had ever taught me.

If this is resonating with you, then you’ll be interested in working together, whether on a 1:1 basis, group programmes or with your team(s).

I focus my work on practical leadership skills rather than theory. Where many coaches talk about leadership archetypes, I teach people what to do when a team member refuses to attend a mandatory meeting. Where other trainers teach personality profiles, I teach you how to have more executive presence and then practice it with you.

Where other coaches use a question only style, and do not provide advice, I’ll share my experiences with you and give you tools and techniques you can use the same day and teach yourself.

Having received pure coaching myself, it wasn’t the style for me

I wanted a guide, someone who had been through it and had tried and test techniques to they could impart. And so that’s the coaching style I provide to my clients, whether in 1:1 settings, group programmes or work with your business.
